New day dawning -- New York

I took these two variations of the Empire State Building in very early morning light composed against a foreground of semi-drawn blinds and using the Fuji X-T1 and 18-55mm zoom.

Back online with my new -- warp-speed -- computer and the latest iteration of Photoshop, its' Creative Cloud. So far so good, but I'm always wary about a computer system update.

  1. Good to have you back Tom, I assume your new system install went well? So, Mac Pros all around or...?

I really love how B&W compels us to be better students of shape and shadows. These are great examples of how the simplest things, right at our fingertips, can be visually engaging and worth sharing :).

There are those that would argue that converting images to B&W is a way to make average images look better, but this only holds true of the main ingredients of what makes a good image are already there.
